U16 Cobras Girls NL vs Bristol Flyers 45-58
Cobras u16 ladies travelled to top of the table Bristol Flyers on Saturday. Frustratingly they couldn't build on their amazing overtime win at Winchester. A slow start saw them stand 21-7 down at the end of the first quarter, they found their game in the 2nd winning it 6-12. The third and fourth quarters were really close 16-12, 15-14. Despite eventually loosing by 13 points (final score 58-45) there were many positives to take from the game. Second half team defence was the best they have played all year. Final score would have been very different if the whole team hadn't stepped up.

Under 14 Girls NL vs Norwich 83 – 37
The Under 14 Girls had to get on the road for a long trip up to Norwich. So they all piled in the Minibus and hit the road early for a Sunday fixture.
It is usually the case after long trips that teams can come out a bit rusty but not our girls, they pressured and outplayed the Norwich team from the first whistle to jump to a 20 – 4 lead after the first quarter Running Rings round them on offense. Credit to the Norwich team as they fought hard and started to claw back the score in the 2nd quarter by scoring the first 10 points to get back to 20 – 14. But Coach Edu and the girls refocused and went on a 15 – 2 run to have a half time score of 35 – 16. The second half was more of the same as the Cobras overpowered the Norwich team to gain a victory 83 – 37.
Great Win and excellent focus after such a long drive.

U16 Boys National League vs Abingdon Game 1
The Under 16 boys had a back to back weekend, Home and Away, against the same team!!!!!!!!!! Cobras visited the Abingdon Eagles on Saturday for the first fixture a few players down with the winter bug, but still travelled with a strong team to play this important fixture.
Cobras started the game well with great defensive energy and made it hard for the Abingdon team and took an early lead. Abingdon made some great driving shots and kept the game close in the first quarter 21 – 17 to the Cobras. The second quarter saw everyone chip in to extend the lead to 42 – 30, but losing focus for the last minute of the half, Abingdon scored 2 quick baskets to make it 42 – 34 at the half. In the 3rd quarter The Cobras came out in great form, playing some suffocating defence to gain a 63 – 41 advantage, but the hard working Eagles never gave up and started pressing late in the half which lead to some turnovers and they brought the score back to 65 – 54 at the end of the 3rd. The Cobras held on to win the game 84 – 73.

Cobras vs Abingdon - Game 2
The very next day we had to do it all again as the Eagles travelled down to Kings Academy for a midday Sunday fixture. The Cobras played some excellent team defence and managed to maintain a high energy. We have some all round excellent defence and rebounding from Gabe and Karl. Levi put on a show offensively and the whole team chipped in to make it 2 out of 2 for the weekend. Final Score 71 – 53.
Bracknell U16s are now 2nd in the division with a 9-2 record in the league.
U14 NL Boys vs Sussex Bears 58-96
The Under 14 boys hit the road early on Saturday road on Saturday to face the Sussex Bears in a Premier South NL matchup. This year has been a great learning curve for the players as they compete in probably the toughest U14 league in the country. Each game they have shown growth and great improvement and competed till the very end. Sussex Bears are a good team but the Cobras hoped to get into the win column this season in this game.
The Bears started the better of the 2 teams and stretched out to a 32-16 first quarter lead. The Cobras improved defensively in the second quarter but Sussex remained solid and led the end of the first half 54 – 30. The second half stayed to form but the Cobras never gave up and ended up losing 96 – 58.
Keep pushing forward and improving!!!

A great show of effort from all players involved over the weekend. All teams playing together and pushing for the wins. Let's all keep it up and bring success to our club. Go Cobras.
